THE 14th ENACTUS KENYA NATIONAL COMPETITION 2016

Date: July 14 - 15, 2016


Goal:
a) To identify an Enactus Kenya affiliate university with the highest impact community
outreach project to represent Kenya during the World Cup in Toronto, Canada

b) To offer business leaders an opportunity to interact and give feedback to undergraduate


university students and faculty members

c) To facilitate networking among business leaders and university students

Who Participates?
The 14th Enactus Kenya Business & Entrepreneurship National Competition is an invite only event.
Jud1500 students and their faculty from over 30 Kenyan Universities (both public and private)
participate.

About the Enactus Kenya Business & Entrepreneurship National Competition


Enactus Kenya manages the national business & entrepreneurship competition every year in
accordance with the Enactus International judging criteria. The 30 Enactus Kenya affiliate
universities showcase their community outreach projects and team leadership skills during the
competition.

How does the Competition Day Run?


The competition starts with Enactus students arrivals at 7.30 am from across Kenya. Business
leaders serving as Judges participate in the orientation breakfast.Opening Round League will run
from 10.00am-1.00pm on July 14th, 2016. The Final Round League will run from 10.30 am-1.00pm
on July 15th, 2016 . The competition will concludes with a 1hr minute Award Ceremony. Only
Judges who participate in Judges Orientation are allowed to judge.

Judges Focus
Once a business leader confirms to participate as a judge, he/she will be provided with a Judges
Handbook that contains key guidelines. All Enactus Kenya team projects seek to use
entrepreneurial action to empower people to improve their livelihoods in an economically, socially
and environmentally sustainable way. The ultimate goal of each project is to introduce the youth to
techniques that can improve the livelihoods of their project beneficiaries.
