Gabion Basket
Basket gabions manufactured by PRODAC are
regular parallelepipeds with various sizes, com-
prised of a double-twisted metalic mesh and
filled on-site with rocks of appropriate hardness
and weight.

PRODUCTOS DE ACERO CASSADO S.A. PRODAC, was

established in 1994 as a result of the merger between
INDUSTRIAS CASSADO S.A. and PROLANSA, the two
largest wire manufacturers in Peru.

This is how Prodac, the most ambitious wire manufacturing

projects ever created in Peru, started its operations.

Nowadays, Prodac is the largest wire manufacturer in Peru.

Its sales have successfully expanded to South America,
Central America, the Caribbean, North America, Europe and
Oceania. Prodac strives day to day to improve its quality
standards, and to become the leading wire company in the
region.

where installation under optimum conditions
is not possible. They are assembled off-site
and placed in their final position using heavy
machinery.
Protective Wire Coating
1. Heavy galvanization or triple galvanizing, recommended against corrosion and abrasion,
particularly in aqueous means.
2. Benzinal Zinc-5% Aluminum (Zn 5% Al-MM*), recommended against atmospheric corrosion.
3. Plastic-coating, comprised of PVC coating additional to the aforementioned types.

Reinforced Soil Gabion
LandPro is a box-type gabion equipped with a reinforcing panel made of
double-twisted plastic-coated hexagonal mesh. The panel is comprised by an
uniform and continuous mesh, and is placed into the soil guaranteeing better
performance in areas requiring greater soil reinforcement, such as embankments
contention and stabilization and filling for different applications.
Applications
LandPro gabions most common uses are retaining walls, embankment stabilization and recovery,
bridge abutments, dams, fillings for different uses (sport field parking lots), among others.
Advantages
One of the advantages of using this structure rather than traditional ones, such as concrete walls, is its
lower cost, shorter works execution time, the structures flexibility to adapt to uneven or settled terrains,
better adaptation to different types of soils and excellent architectural versatility.
