    Description

    Theequipmentscontractedshallbeguaranteedforsatisfactoryperformanceforaperiodof36monthsfromthedateofs
    upplyand24monthsfromthedatefsatisfactorycommissioningoftransmissionline.Anyequipmentfounddefective/fa
    iledwithintheaboveguaranteeperiodshallbereplacedorrepairedbythesupplier/manufacturerfreeofcostwithinon
    emonthfromreceiptofintimation.Ifthedefective/failedequipmentsarenotreplaced/repairedaspertheaboveguara
    nteeclause,thepurchaser/purchasershallrecoveranequivalentamountplus 15% supervision charges from the
    supplier/manufacturer.

    TheperformancetestshallbeperformedonMechanicalcompletionasmentionedbelow:-
    At Pre-Charging stage :-
    AttendingallpunchpointswhichwillbegivenbyM/sBALCObeforeprechargingstage
    Carry out following importanat test as per PGCIL and CBIP standard guidelines:-
    Earth Resistance Measurement
    Insulation Resistance Measurement
    Conductor Continuity Test
    Phase sequence test
    Signature test etc.
    The result of the tests carried out shall meet the FQP submitted by the Supplier

    At Post Charging :-

    ThermographytestistobecarriedoutalongtherouteofthelineasperPGCILstandard/normstofindoutanyHotspotinth
    eloadedlineandprovidethehotsoptredaing and thermal images to the BALCO .

    Intheeventthatanyoftheguaranteedperformanceasdefinedhereinfailstodemonstartaesatisfactoryperformance,B
    alcowouldgivenoticetoSUPPLIERtocorrectandmodifytheEQUIPMENTwithinastipulatedperiod(notexceeding(15)
    dayseffectivefromdateofsuchnoticestatedhereinatSupplierscosttoachievethe guaranteed performance.

    Intheeventthatanyoftheguaranteedperformanceasdefinedhereinafter,failstodemonstartaesatisfactoryperforma
    ncesecondtime,BalcowouldgivesecondnoticetoSUPPLIERtocorrectandmodifytheEQUIPMENTwithinastipulatedp
    eriod(notexceeding thirty (30) days) effective from date of the notice.
    The first & second repeat performance tests shall be repeated at no cost to Balco.

    AfternoticeasstatedabovehavingbeengiventoremedytheEquipmentsandSUPPLIERhavingfailedtoachievetheGua
    ranteedPerformanceevenafterrctificationand/ormodificationdeterminedbythesecond(repeat)performancetest,
    Balco shall be at liberty to levy liquidated damages.
    LIQUIDATED DAMAGES FOR SHORTFALL IN PERFORMANCE GUARANTEES

    ThesupplierhastodemonstratealltheabovePerformanceGuarantees.However,incaseofnotmeetingtheguarantee
    dvaluestheliquidateddamagesupto10%ofthe total contract value shall be levied on Supplier
    Bidder Confirmation.
