Note: Such of the students who are having a -break in the years of study for reasons other
than failure or those who passed the qualifying examination by private study have to
submit this certificate issued by the Mandal Revenue Officer.
In case, the students have resided in more than one place, separate certificate from the
Mandal Revenue Officer, should be furnished for such places of residence.

7) To claim seat under Agriculturist cum Rural Area Quota , a certified copy of pattadar pass
book issued by the Mandal Revenue Officer or a certificate (in the prescribed form given
in the application form itself i.e. Form-I) indicating Patta numbers and the extent of land
in case of those coming from the families of Agriculturists. In addition to these
certificates, candidates seeking admission to all these courses must produce a Non-
Municipal Area certificate in the prescribed form given in the application form i.e. Form-
II itself from the Head of Institutions that they have studied for a minimum period of any
four years in Schools located in Non-Municipal Areas starting from 1st Class to 12th Class.
This certificate should contain the particulars of the School, Village, Mandal and District,
period of study and the class studied.

8) One passport size photograph of the applicant to be affixed on the application form in the
space provided.

9) A crossed DD (Original) for Rs.500/- towards the registration fee drawn on any
Nationalized bank in favour of Comptroller, ANGRAU payable at Hyderabad should be

*These seats shall be treated as “Payment Seats” only, as per approval of Government of Andhra Pradesh and the
amount of tuition fee to be paid by each candidate is Rs.16,000/- (approximately) per Semester (Exemption of
tuition fee for all eligible BC/SC/ST candidates based on their parent’s annual income as per Government rules) in
addition to all other fee as payable to other courses.
Eligibility:

¾ A pass in two year Intermediate Examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education,
A.P. or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the University or Intermediate
Board with the following subjects namely:

i) Physical Sciences
ii) Biological or Natural Sciences
Criteria for selection:

¾ The selection of candidates for all the seats, expect those reserved for ICAR/VCI Quota and
inservice candidates shall be made on the basis of ranks obtained by the candidates in the
EAMCET-2010 in their respective local areas from out of the Inter-se merit lists prepared for this
purpose. The candidates will be selected based on merit, presidential order, region and social
status. In the case of selection of candidates for B.V.Sc. & A.H. course a candidate must have
obtained not less than 50% marks (40% in the case of SC/ST candidates) in the EAMCET
and Intermediate or equivalent Examination.

¾ In case of a tie in ranks obtained by two or more candidates in the EAMCET, the marks secured in
the optional subjects of the qualifying examination shall be taken into consideration. In case of a
further tie, the age of the candidate shall be taken into consideration.
Age:

¾ The candidates for admission to these courses shall be required to have completed 17 years of age on
31st December of the year of admission with an upper age limit of 22 years for all the candidates and
25 years in respect of SC and ST candidates and 27 years for Physically Handicapped candidates.

Reservations:
Reservation of seats for the candidates coming from families of Agriculturist cum Rural Area :

¾ 40% of the seats in the ANGRAU & APHU while 25% in SVVU are reserved for candidates coming from
families of Agriculturists actually engaged in and owing not less than 3 acres of land and who have studied for
a minimum of 4 years in Schools located in Non-Municipal areas. Candidates seeking admission under this
category should produce a certificate in Form-I of application with patta numbers and extent of land obtained
from a Revenue Officer not below the rank of Mandal Revenue Officer and also a Certificate in Form-II of
application from the Head Master of the School that the candidate has studied for a minimum period of four
years in Schools located in Non-Municipal areas during their period of study from 1st class to 12th
class/Intermediate (Non-Municipal Area Certificate).

¾ If the certificates as prescribed above are not been filled in the proforma in the application form and
duly signed by the concerned Head of Institution or Officer mentioned above along with office seal, the
claim of the candidates under this category will be summarily rejected.

Reservation of Seats :

Backward Classes: 29% of seats are reserved under this category.

¾ BC-A – 7% ; BC-B – 10% ; BC-C – 1% ; BC-D – 7%, BC-E – 4%

Scheduled Caste (SC) – 15%

Scheduled Tribe (ST) – 6%

Physically Handicapped – 3%

i) 1% for Visually Handicapped


ii) 1% for Hearing Impaired
iii) 1% for Orthopaedically Handicapped

Other Reservations:
Defence Personnel – 2%
National Cadet Corps. (NCC) – 1%
Games & Sports – ½% (0.5%)
Allocation of seats in favour of Local candidates in relation to Local area:

¾ Admission to 85% of the seats after excluding those reserved for the candidates from non-local areas /
un-reserved (15%) shall be reserved in favour of and allocated among the candidates in relation to the
local area in respect of the Andhra University & Nagarjuna University (AU), Osmania University and the
Kakatiya University (OU) and Sri Venkateswara University and Sri Krishna Devaraya University (SVU)
in the ratio of 42 :36:22 respectively.
Fee:

¾ Each candidate selected for admission into B.Sc.(Ag) B.Sc.(Hons.) Horticulture, B.V.Sc. & A.H., B.F.Sc.
has to pay on the day of selection a sum of Rs.6,200/-(approx.) (Rupees Six thousand and Two hundred
only) towards, tuition fee Rs.2,000/-(approx.) and other special fees Rs.4,200/- per semester
(approximately) including some items per annum.

¾ The candidates selected for admission to B.Sc. (Hons.) Horticulture Payment seat, B.Sc.(CA&BM) &
B.Tech.(Food Science) have to pay an amount of Rs.20,200/- (approx.) (Rupees Twenty thousand and
two hundred only) including tuition fee of Rs.16,000/- (approx.) for which exemption is provided for
eligible SC/ST/BC candidates on the production of parents Income Certificate in accordance with the
limit fixed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
¾ In addition, candidates seeking admission to Hostel will have to pay an additional amount of Rs.5,000/-
(approximately ) (Rupees Five thousand only) towards fees including Hostel and Mess deposits and Room
rent etc. at the time of joining the Hostel only.

¾ However, this amount may vary slightly for courses under SVVU & APHU.

¾ All candidates irrespective of category to which they belong are exempted from payment of tuition fees, if
their parental annual income from all sources is below Rs.1 Lakh.

Seat Cancellation fee:

¾ In case of seat cancellation, the candidate has to forfeit the fee already paid at the time of admission
besides paying Rs.1,200/- for General Category and Rs.600/- for SC/ST category at the time of seat
cancellation at any time.

Original certificates to be produced at the time of Admission:

The candidates granted admission, should at the time of admission submit the following certificates in
Original.

i) Pass Certificate-cum-Memorandum of Marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying


examination (Intermediate)
ii) Hall Ticket & Rank Card of EAMCET-2010.
iii) SSC or equivalent examination Certificate.
iv) The Community Certificate in the case of candidates belonging to Backward Classes, Scheduled
Castes and Scheduled Tribes, signed by the competent authority.
v) Bonafide or Study certificates. (VI to XII)
vi) Residence Certificate, if necessary.
vii) Two conduct certificates one from the College or School where the candidate last studied and the
other from an officer of the State Government or any other respectable person.
viii) Transfer Certificate from the College or School where the candidate last studied.
ix) Three passport size photographs.
x) An Income Certificate of father/guardian to be signed by any officer not below the rank of the
Mandal Revenue Officer of the Revenue Department of the Mandal concerned.
xi) Physical fitness certificate issued by a Govt. Doctor not below the rank of Assistant Civil Surgeon.

¾ Candidates called for counselling shall have to attend at their own cost.
Only one Parent/Guardian of the candidate will be allowed for counselling.
Ragging:

¾ The parents have to give an undertaking (as per judgment of Hon’ble High Court, A.P.) in form 6 that in
the event of child committing or indulging in the act of ragging, they would also be liable for punishment
along with their ward.
