Before going to configure storage 6180, confirm these step.

1 CAM software is installed properly in your laptop.

2 You have all the details of Storage like -

(1) Array name

(2) IP add. For controllers
(3) Profile name
(4) Pool name
(5) Volume name
Note - Here I have to configure 2 Raid 5. First is having 4 disk & second is having 6 disk.
(6) LUNs

Note When we creat volume, It automatically creats a LUNs. If You required partitions in
this Volume , You should have the details for the same. Here I am having 6 partition in first
Raid5 & second Raid 5 custmor will use single LUN.

Now we start the configure the Storage6180.

(1) Give the Administrator name & password to login in CAM

(2) After login, new window will come, click on Sun Storage Common Manager.
(3) After this, First fill all the General configuration If You are using your CAM software first
time by click on General configuration & save
(4) Then Click on Register to register the storage.
(5) New window will open. Select the Second option & give the default ip of the Storage.
(6)click on Next
(7) Click on Finish, after this It will register Storage.
(8) Click on Close
(9) First check firmware of Storage. If it is not at baseline then Click on install firmware on
baseline. It will install the firmware.
(10) Now click on Administartion to change the Array name (storage name)
(11) Click on save
(12) After changing the Array name , Click on controllers to change the IP of both controllers.
(13) Change the IP of controllers & Click on save.
(14) Click on disk
(15) Click on disk name which You want to make Hot- Spare.
(16) Click on Assign Hot-Spare.
(17) Click on Profile to creat a Profile.
(18) Click on New to creat a New Profile.
(19) Click on Ok. (Now A new profile has been created)
(20) Click on Pool to creat a new Pool.
(21) Click on New
(22) Give Pool name & select the Profile name then click on ok
(23) Click on volume to create a volume.
 (24) Click on new

NOTE - Here I have to creat Raid5 with 4 disks and partition in it.
(25) Select Profile & click on Next
(26) Select second option & click on Next.
(27) Select Disks for Raid5 & click Next.
(28) Click Next
(29)Give Volume name & Size (Partition Name & Size) And click on Next.
(29) Here We have 2 option. We can map it or not. Right now I am not mapping it Because I have
to creat more Partition in this Volume .If u want to map it right now Then select Second option
& click on Next.
(30) Click on next
(31) Click on Finish
(32) Creat another partition by clicking on New.
(33) This time Use Second option to creat partition in same volume.
(34) If U want to creat a new Volume (Raid5) then Click on Third option.
(35) Select Disk & Click on Next.
(36) Give name & size & click Next.
(37) Click Next.
 (38) Click on Finish
(39) With these steps we can creat Partitions in a Volume .

Note- Here I have used remaining 6 Disks for second Volume(Raid 5)by same steps
NOTE As We can see 6 partitions in 1 Virtual Disk & 1 in second Virtual Disk .

(40) Click on disk .

NOW Storage is ready.
