Route forecast issued in different format as per requirement. It is issued in form of :-

ROFOR/ARFOR
LOCAL FORECAST
CHART FORM

ROFOR issued in coded form by AMO and transmitted to AMS to prepare a route
between two specified aerodromes, This ROFOR is decoded and MET-4 prepared
and handed over to pilot. It is to be used for flight beyond 500NM and for both lower
and upper level. Generally upper level flight forecast is given in chart form.

The code form is divided into four sections as follows:

Symbolic Contents
Section figure group

number
Code identification and time
1 -- groups; route forecast

Jet-stream data (optional)

2 11111

Data of maximum wind and

3 22222 vertical wind shear (optional)

Supplementary phenomena
4 --

Sections 2, 3 and 4 are not transmitted separately
