FOOTNOTE TO YOUTH

The title that Im going to give critique is the footnote to youth by Jose Garcia. The story
wants to deliver to the youth that they must be wise in making decisions.

The story wanted to imbued information to the youth. It aims that teenagers. Must be
wise in making decisions in life to secure their future and not to be miserable. However, the
readers will be contious about there decisions in life in order to be not miserable. The story
really helps teenagers to be accurate deciding things in life. We dont need to rush things to
have a better life.

The paper focuses on the theme of the story which conveys a message to the youth with
regards to decision making. The character of the story named Dodong believes that he is grown
into a man. It is because he is in the stage of a Adolencense. He wants to many Teang; the girl.
He likes her because they are inlove to each other Dodong does not know what are the
abligations of a mumed couple. The only thing why he wants to many teang is just because he is
inlove. Love is not the only ground to enter the very sacred marriage. According to owl website,
it stated that marriage is a socially or ritually recognized union between spouses that establish
rights and obligations between them between them and their children and between and their in
laws. The statement tells actually says that you have already the ability to face the task but in
fact it also involves obligation of life as a one couple. Dodong does not decide properly since he
jumps to conclusion. He does not think of what will happen to him after marriage. That is why
this paper shows that the main theme of this story which decisionmaking really help the
teenagers now to be reminded on what to do in making decision could really help the teenager
now to be reminded what to do in making decision. According to Naquan decision making must
first understand that our decisions affect more than just ourselves, It affects the people around
us. This means that if you dont make a proper decisions we are not the only one will suffer but
also the people around you.

Therefore the story do reminds to the youth that teenagers must be more wisely in
making decisions because if you rush things without your plan there is a chance soon you well
regret it and your life will be misserable. The story benefit me to be serious ablout making
decision in life because if you rush things and make tihings unplanned without looking the result
your life will be mess and regretful.
