Good day ladies and gentleman.

I am very much honored to be

here in front of you to discuss about the present issue that's our society is
facing now. I need all of your attention and can I ask all of you a favor
to lend some time for me to listen to the important words that I'm going
to say. When you we're at your younger age have you ever played a doll
and imagine that you we're the mother of it? Have you have this
experience, thinking that you we're a woman having a child of their own
but never really thought what are the consequences of it in reality? This
examples are the cases that are experienced through our younger age but
never really thought the reality of it in real world. (Teen Pregnancy
Informative Speech, 2016). These are the case scenarios that some of us
never thought how serious it is, how about you? You as a youth, what is
your idea about this issue? Do you sometimes ask yourself if you have
the power and the will to change, and be a good role model to every
youths out there? What is your perspective in life? Do you really hold
your own future in your hands?
This case have been faced for the past years by young teens and
the number of population are increasing vastly in the present time.
According to University British Columbia, teenage pregnancy refers to
female adolescents becoming pregnant between the ages of 13-19. These
young females have not yet reached adulthood and the causes of teenage
pregnancy vary greatly. Teenage pregnancy may be linked to things such
as lack of education and information about reproduction, peer pressure
and early engagement of sexual activity . A teen who is often lead to bad
situations, such as lack of education as stated, can give huge problems to
the teenagers and make them do bad decisions in life not even knowing
what the effects will be. Peer pressure also plays a role in teenage
pregnancy. During teenage years, some teens may force themselves to
find new friends to socialize, which somehow can influence them to be
in such relationships that involves sexual activity which can lead them to
the wrong path of their life. Teenagers nowadays, must know what are
the consequences that they will face from the actions that they are doing.
Lastly, early engagement to sexual activity. Teenagers nowadays, are
open to relationships and being a teenager it is the time to be linked to
some people, build trust, moments and be in love with them. But the
common problem that some teenagers are experiencing is the early
engagement to sexual activities. Teenagers may sometimes be
irresponsible in their actions, only a few of them wanted to satisfy
themselves with the things that they want, but doesn't realize the
consequences and circumstances of their actions will be in the future.
Although some teenage pregnancies are intentional, the majority of them
are unintentional and lead to many negative outcomes for the teenage
mother, the child as well as other family and peers. So, how does
teenage pregnancy affect the teens mental ability and also their social
ability? In most cases teen who got pregnant unintentionally may cause
huge problem and can affect their mental, emotional and physical health
due to stress of the upcoming circumstances ahead of them. Thinking
about how they will tell it to their parents, and also what is the state of
their life will be after giving birth to their child. As you can see, teenage
pregnancy is a huge problem that our society is facing at the present time
and needs action immediately.

So you, yes you who is listening to me right now. You as a youth,

as a future holder of your own capabilities. You have the power to
change the perception not just to yourself but also to the other teens out
there. I am here to tell to each and every one of you that the things that
you do in life are coupled with responsibilities and consequences. So
why would you the things that you think that can destroy your future
because of your irresponsible decisions? Why would you do the things
that can stop you from being productive and be a good example from
many people? Teenage pregnancy is not a joke, it is coupled with huge
responsibilities and consequences. As our famous Filipino hero Jose
Rizal stated, "Ang kabataan ay pag-asa ng bayan." Meaning that we, as a
youth we are just starting to build our own futures in life. We still have
the time and the power to build our own kingdom of knowledge and use
it in the next years of our lives. If we have the education, knowledge and
strength we can be responsible enough in our decisions and be the
champion of our own life's. Now, always remember this, your decisions
now, will be who you are in the future.
