SBI PO
The SBI recruits the Probationary Officers (PO) who holds the position of an
assistant manager in the branches of SBI after a probation (training) of two
years. This is an entry level position for the bank officers who started to work
after posting.
The exam is conducted in three phases the prelims, the mains and the
interview.
Tentative month for prelims: July.
IBPS PO
The IBPS conducts a recruitment process to select the Probationary Officers
(PO) for all the participating banks.
This exam is also conducted in three phases i.e. the prelims, the mains and
the interview.
Tentative month for prelims: October.
SBI Clerk
The SBI conducts its own nationwide exam to recruit the clerks for its various
branches across the country.
This exam is conducted only in two phases the prelims and the mains.
Tentative month for prelims: August.
IBPS Clerk
IBPS is responsible for recruiting various clerk positions like cashier, SWO,
etc for all the participating banks which is known as the IBPS Clerk exam.
This exam is also conducted in two phases i.e. the prelims and the mains.
Tentative month for prelims: November.
SBI SO
The SBI recruits the Specialist Officers (SO) for its various branches across
the country through the SBI SO exam. The exam is conducted in two phases
the online exam and the interview.
Tentative month for prelims: January.
IBPS SO
IBPS conducts the IBPS SO exam to recruit various Specialist officers for
different departments (according to the candidates specialization) for all the
participating banks. The exam is again conducted in three phases i.e. the
prelims, the mains and the interview.
Tentative month for prelims: December.
BPS RRB
The IBPS conducts the exam to recruit candidates for various posts like Office
Assistant, and Scale 1,2,3 Officers in the Regional Rural Banks called the
IBPS RRB. The pattern of exam for all the posts are a bit different from each
other. For Office assistants prelims and mains are conducted while for the
scale 2 and 3 Officers, a single examination is conducted.

Tentative month for Single exam (Scale 2 and 3 Officers): November.
