Homeless people

When was the last time when you saw a homeless person in the street of your city? Did
you ever wondered what happened to them or where are they going to sleep at night?

The reasons may vary from a person to another , for example a major issue is not
affording a house , financial problems or mental illness. The number of homeless people in our
city has doubled in the recent years and this is a great concern of our authorities.

First of all authorities may start a few long term programs for adult education to make
homeless people to get employed , or to raise money from non-governmental organization to
build social institutions.

Another thing to consider is making long term plans for building affordable houses or
developing a plan to educate this people in to a type of labor so that they can provide for
themselves.

A solution may be the participation of major companies by allowing homeless people to

work there for a day in the week .

An example are volunteers that can work in social canteens , this kind of program is
already functioning in our city and many students and teenagers as well as teachers work
alongside to make hot meals for people who cannot afford one.

A matter that our authorities may consider is a program for homeless children so that they
can receive a proper education as well as a meal and a roof over their heads.

To sum up I consider that homeless people must be helped to rediscover their path in
life, because many of them are capable of starting over.
