OPPOSED LANDING DRILL BRIEF

Purpose: Scouting and infiltration, in combination with target acquisition and

destruction.
Initial Conditions: A member of the 2nd Squadron will infiltrate and gather intelligence on
enemy forces and movements, before reporting back to the main fleet,
who will then pursue, engage and destroy.
Scenario: After the recent attack by pirates on the main fleet, and subsequent
retreat by said pirates, a transmission was intercepted between the enemy
ships, showing knowledge of our past. It is subsequently believed that
the pirates are planning to turn in the current coordinates of the fleet,
leading the Empire to the Lorelli position. A single member of the 2nd
Squadron The Ravens of Death will infiltrate and gather intelligence
before reporting back to the main fleet. The main fleet will then devise a
battle plan for engaging said pirates.
Rules of Engagement: Upon entry of the Operating Area, all rounds will be live. Take extra
precautions to ensure ZERO friendly fire. All Opposing Forces are
Computer Simulated.
OPFOR: The Opposition Force (OPFOR) will be briefed separately by the drill
team.
Primary Objectives: All pirate ships destroyed.
Secondary Objectives: Less than 25% of fleet assets destroyed.
Failure: Loss of 50% or greater of the Spec Ops force.
Authorized Assets: Entire available fleet.
Start Time: Current planned start is 2000 + 10 minutes. Any pilot not on station and
ready to go will either have to catch up or scrub entirely. Start time
might move up, but will not be any later than 2010.
