Social Media Intern
We are looking for an intern to work a minimum of 10 hours per week. Duties primarily revolve
around developing, managing, and maintaining our Facebook and Twitter accounts, as well as
our website on the Wix platform. You report to the Executive Director. Strong candidates have
knowledge of the digital media landscape, including various social media sites. The successful
candidate will be responsible for contributing to website growth projects, monitoring and
posting on social networks, participating in online outreach and promotion, optimizing our
website, and conducting analyses. Those looking to gain valuable online media experience with

Duties include, but are not limited to

Assist in creating and implement campaigns.


Develop content calendars on a weekly and monthly basis.
Monitor (keyword) analytics identify viable ideas.
Create engaging social media content.
Posting, monitoring & replying to Twitter posts.
Post updates on Facebook.
Assist in the general distribution of press releases and media alerts.
Provide support at live and online events.
"Busy" work including envelope stuffing and administrative duties such as file cleaning
and data entry.
Qualifications

Excellent oral and written communication skills


More than working knowledge of social media tools, Facebook, Twitter, Wix.
Experience with social media analytics a plus.
Excellent organizational skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Experience in a non-profit organization a plus.

Ability to work independently.
Detail oriented and well organized.
Hours, Start Date, Location, and Duration
Flexible within business hours (9:00 am to 5:00 pm). A firm commitment of at least 10 hours
per week is required. The internship can start immediately and may continue through the
academic year depending on mutual interest and satisfactory performance. This is a non-paid
internship. We are located in Old Brick on the corner of Market & Clinton Streets.
