19. Pair 2) We have adopted a school that was impacted by
20. leaves Hurricane Harvey. We will be collecting gift cards to
Walmart or any preloaded Visa card to send to Burnett
Elementary School. Please donate if you can. Donations
will be collected in the office until Friday.
3) NWEA testing will begin next Monday.
4)DARE also starts next Monday.
5) The PTA is hosting the Fun Run fundraiser next Friday
September 15th. Information will be coming home today.
An e-mail will be going home from me today about ways
you can volunteer with this event.
6)To make homework collection easier, students will now
fill out their STAR bookmark on Friday as part of their
morning work. The choices will still stay the same, but
they will no longer have to worry about keeping track of
their bookmark.
Finally, there are many opportunities for your child to be
involved in leadership opportunities. Last week we chose 15
kids to help with our kindergarten buddies. Kindergarten
buddies will start this week. There is also opportunities for
students to participate in safety patrol, student council, and a
special class at the middle school. We hope that every students
will take the opportunity to Lead Out Loud this year. Please
remember student council applications are due this Friday.
