PURPOSE OF IMPLEMENTING 5S

1.Continuous improvement (Kaizen)

( Looking for betterment with the principle

Today is better than yesterday and tomorrow shall
be better than today! (Kaizen spirit)

( A new mindset: Not to work

hard, but work smart
PURPOSE OF IMPLEMENTING NEW 5S
2. Elimination of Waste (Muda)
- items, time, attitudes and movements
Ex: Disorganized workplace 5 minutes lost in looking for
jigs/cut parts/files or 5 minutes of chatting

55 minutes x 100 employees = 500 minutes

500 minutes x 313 working days = 156,500 minutes
156,500 minutes / 480 min/day = 326 days
326 x P300 = P97,800
A drop of rain becomes an ocean.
A small waste if being accumulated becomes losses.
