Engr. Evelyn Q Raguidin

Dean of College of Engineering
Adamson University

Dear Dean Marquez:

We would like to inform you that, with the declaration of martial law in
Mindanao, military presence heightened and human rights violations among
our Lumad and Moro brothers and sisters increased. This situation forced a
number of them to leave their homeland and communities and sought
temporary shelter and refuge as far as Metro Manila.

It is in this light that we, the Human Rights class of the Adamson
University College of Law, sponsored a forum: Malasakit sa Bakwit, which will
be held on 30 September 2017 at SV Canteen from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon. This
rights forum will serve as another viable platform to enlist all the support our
Lumad and Moro brothers and sisters call to end the militarization of their
communities, preserve their culture and uphold their rights as persons and as
Filipinos.

In this regard, we invite you and your School to join us in this gathering.
We hope to hear from you soon.

Sincerely,

HUMAN RIGHS CLASS
