Scope and Delimitation

The main focus of the study is to determine a correlation between the amount of time spent

playing video games and the subsequent effect on students grades. The data will be gathered

by means of survey questionnaire and most recent exam scores. However, we cannot measure

the intensity of playing video games, the craving of playing and the attention taken away by

the video games.

Significance of the Study

As students, as well as prominent video game players, the researchers set our sights into

proving that a lengthy time spent playing video games cause significant damage to a students

study habits. Should the problem not be mitigated students grades will continue to suffer.

This will also provide insight to teachers and parents as they can see what could be a possible

cause of failing grades, a question many have asked before. So not only will this benefit

students, but teachers and parents as well.
