BAAY @ the Bay Event Outline

Pitch: In order to give the community a better understanding of BAAYs services, and to
demonstrate how community involvement is essential to BAAY, we propose a
community event to be held in Bellingham.

Plan:
What: BAAY @ the Bay summer festival.
When/Where: Late June/Early July at Boulevard.
Why: To raise community awareness/recruit community involvement.
Who: Aimed towards children, youth, parents, community members and
potential volunteers/donors.
How:
Stage events (choir performance, short play)
Audience involvement (acting warm ups and contests)
Games for kids (face painting, musical chairs)
Catering
Breakout session (instructors)
EduArts volunteer talks/local artist vending
Random scholarship drawing
Lots of take home materials (including mail-in donation envelope)
Donation box
