Objetivo: emplear los verbos modales para escribir textos para brindar y recibir
informacin sobre su entorno.
Verbos modales forma negativa

Sujeto + Modal verb not + Verbo en forma base + Complemento

Pedro no debera comer caramelos.

Pedro should not eat candies.
(Pedro Shud not it candis).
Usted no debera trabajar en esa oficina.
You should not work in that office.
(iu shud not uork in da ofis).
Los nios no deben jugar con pistolas.
Children must not play with guns.
Nosotros no podramos pagar esa cuenta.
We could not pay that bill.
 El verbo modal OUGHT TO, la palabra not se coloca en medio, es decir, OUGHT
NOT TO, sin embargo, este verbo no es usual en forma negativa, es preferible
utilizar SHOULDNT.

La negacin de los verbos modales tambin puede emplearse con contraccin:

Cannot = can't My mother cant play the guitar.

Could not = couldn't The bus couldnt arrive early.
Should not = shouldnt You shouldnt smoke.
Must not = mustn't We mustnt copy our classmates homework.
Would not = wouldnt The book wouldnt be interesting.
May not no se usa con contraccin.
Might not no se usa con contraccin.
