The purpose of this memo is to analyse the elements of design of, as well as compare
and contrast two infographics about the worth of college tuition.

Summary
The first infographic does a great job of having a consistent layout that is easy to
follow, with visually pleasing graphics that stand out from the text. The second
infographic has a larger amount of information, but its layout is sporadic.

Analysis
The first infographic, Was College Worth It?, has a simple and easy to follow
alignment. The being a tall image, the fact that it is left justified before transitioning
into centered, with two columns of graphics in the middle, allows the reader to move
through it in a very ordered way.

The white and yellow used in the graphics contrast the dark green background,
keeping the page interesting to look at and highlighting the main data points.

The second infographic, Is Your Bachelor's Degree Worth It, has more information
than first but lacks the clear organization of the first. There is alignment to an
extent, with three columns, but only the clearly lined up. The other columns are
internally staggered, leaving the reader with an unclear way to move through the
page.

This infographic also lacks in contrast where it counts. The blue and orange used on
the page really pop, but this draws attention to portions of data rather main ideas or
headings. In fact the headings tend to blend in with the rest of the text, despite being
boldend.

Both infographics are shown at the end of this document.

Conclusion
The first infographic, Was College Worth It, did a better job of quickly and clearly
relaying its information because of its superior organization and design.
The second infographic could be improved upon by aligning the right half of the page
into clear columns, as well as adding contrast to the headings.
