Activity
In Gizmos, go to Rounding Whole Numbers (Number Line).
In this link, there is a number line. This is perfect for students to get used to and
understand a number line.
On this website, the student will move dots on different spots on the number line and
it will tell them where they have placed it.
The teacher can then click Hill and it will make the number 5 the top of the hill and
show students how to round to the nearest tenth

The instructor makes up questions within the website for the students to use as well.

The instructor will then allow the students to come to the board and try moving the
numbers around their selves. (The numbers can be changed so that not only numbers
1-10 are being used)

3.1 C.

In Gizmos, Modeling Whole Numbers and Decimals (Bas-10 Blocks) this is great to
help students with counting blocks. This link includes hundreds, tens, and ones.

The instructor will also be able to include the questions in this as well.
With this activity the instructor will give students different numbers and have them
each come to the board to count out the different blocks. (The set of block values

Then click Show value and the students can check if they got it correct.
