The Black Eyed Peas. Where is the Love. Elephunk, A&R Records, 2003.

Whats wrong with the world, mama So I could ask myself really what is goin wrong
People livin like they aint got no mamas In this would that we livin in people keep on givin
I think the whole world addicted to the drama in
Only attracted to things thatll bring you trauma Makin wrong decisions, only visions of them
dividends
Overseas, yeah, we try to stop terrorism Not respectin each other, deny thy brother
But we still got terrorists here livin A war is goin on but the reasons undercover
In the USA, the big CIA
The Bloods and The Crips and the KKK The truth is kept secret, its swept under the rug
If you never know truth then you never know love
But if you only have love for your own race Wheres the love, yall come on (I dont know)
Then you only leave space to discriminate Wheres the truth, yall, come on (I dont know)
And to discriminate only generates hate Wheres the love yall
And when you hate then youre bound to get irate,
yeah People killin, people dyin
Children hurt and you hear them cryin
Madness is what you demonstrate Can you practice what you preach?
And thats exactly how anger works and operates Or would you turn the other cheek?
Man, you gotta have love just to set it straight
Take control of your mind and meditate Father, Father, Father help us
Let your soul gravitate to the love, yall, yall Send some guidance from above
Cause people got me, got me questionin
People killin, people dyin Where is the love (Love)
Children hurt and you hear them cryin
Can you practice what you preach? Where is the love (The love)?
Or would you turn the other cheek? Where is the love (The love)?
Where is the love (The love)?
Father, Father, Father help us Where is the love (The love)?
Send some guidance from above Where is the love (The love)?
Cause people got me, got me questionin Where is the love (The love)?
Where is the love (Love) Where is the love, the love, the love?

Where is the love (The love) I feel the weight of the world on my shoulder
Where is the love (The love) As Im getting older, yall people gets colder
Where is the love, the love, the love Most of us only care about money makin
Selfishness got us followin the wrong direction
It just aint the same, old ways have changed
New days are strange, is the world insane? Wrong information always show by the media
If love and peace are so strong Negative images is the main criteria
Why are there pieces of love that dont belong? Infecting the young minds faster than bacteria
Kids wanna act like what they see in the cinema
Nations droppin bombs
Chemical gasses fillin lungs of little ones Yo, whatever happened to the values of humanity
With ongoin sufferin as the youth die young Whatever happened to the fairness and equality
So ask yourself is the lovin really gone Instead of spreading love were spreading animosity
Lack of understanding, leading us away from unity
Thats the reason why sometimes Im feelin under Sing with me yall:
Thats the reason why sometimes Im feelin down One world, one world (we only got)
Theres no wonder why sometimes Im feelin under One world, one world (Thats all we got)
Gotta keep my faith alive til love is found One world, one world
Now ask yourself And somethings wrong with it (Yeah)
Somethings wrong with it (Yeah)
Where is the love? Somethings wrong with the wo-wo-world, yeah
Where is the love? We only got
Where is the love? One world, one world
Where is the love? Thats all we got
One world, one world
Father, Father, Father, help us
Send some guidance from above
Cause people got me, got me questionin
Where is the love?
Creedence Clearwater Revival. Fortunate Son. Willy and the Poor Boys, Fantasy Records, 1969.

Some folks are born made to wave the flag

Ooh, they're red, white and blue
And when the band plays "Hail to the chief"
Ooh, they point the cannon at you, Lord

It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no senator's son, son

It ain't me, it ain't me; I ain't no fortunate one, no

Some folks are born silver spoon in hand

Lord, don't they help themselves, oh
But when the taxman comes to the door
Lord, the house looks like a rummage sale, yes

It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no millionaire's son, no

It ain't me, it ain't me; I ain't no fortunate one, no

Yeah, yeah
Some folks inherit star spangled eyes
Ooh, they send you down to war, Lord
And when you ask them, "How much should we give?"
Ooh, they only answer More! more! more! y'all

It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no military son, son

It ain't me, it ain't me; I ain't no fortunate one, one

It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no fortunate one, no no no

It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no fortunate son, no no no

American girls and American guys

We'll always stand up and salute
We'll always recognize
When we see Old Glory flying
There's a lot of men dead
So we can sleep in peace at night when we lay down our head

My daddy served in the army

Where he lost his right eye but he flew a flag out in our yard
Until the day that he died
He wanted my mother, my brother, my sister and me
To grow up and live happy
In the land of the free

Now this nation that I love has fallen under attack

A mighty sucker punch came flyin' in from somewhere in the back
Soon as we could see clearly
Through our big black eye
Man, we lit up your world
Like the fourth of July

Hey Uncle Sam, put your name at the top of his list
And the Statue of Liberty started shakin' her fist
And the eagle will fly man, it's gonna be hell
When you hear mother freedom start ringin' her bell
And it feels like the whole wide world is raining down on you
Brought to you courtesy of the red white and blue

Justice will be served and the battle will rage

This big dog will fight when you rattle his cage
And you'll be sorry that you messed with
The U.S. of A.
'Cause we'll put a boot in your ass
It's the American way

Hey Uncle Sam put your name at the top of his list
And the Statue of Liberty started shakin' her fist
And the eagle will fly it's gonna be hell
When you hear mother freedom start ringin' her bell
And it feels like the whole wide world is raining down on you
Brought to you courtesy of the red white and blue

Oh oh of the red white and blue

Oh oh of my red white and blue
Shinedown. Bully. Amaryllis, Atlantic Records, 2012.

Its 8 AM, this hell Im in

Seems Ive crossed a line again
For being nothing more than who I am
So break my bones and throw your stones
We all know that life aint fair
But theres more of us were everywhere

We dont have to take this back against the wall

We dont have to take this we can end it all

All youll ever be is a fading memory of a bully

Make another joke while they hang another rope so lonely
Push them to the dirt till the words dont hurt can you hear me
No ones gonna cry on the very day you die youre a bully

Think it through you cant undo

Whenever I see black and blue I feel the past, I share the bruise
With everyone whos come and gone
My head is clear my voice is strong, now Im right here to right the wrong

We dont have to take this back against the wall

We dont have to take this we can end it all

All youll ever be is a fading memory of a bully

Make another joke while they hang another rope so lonely
Push them to the dirt till the words dont hurt can you hear me
No ones gonna cry on the very day you die youre a bully
