FREE Lunch Served at Potsdam UMC Dec. 9

Potsdam United Methodist Church, located on S. Main St., is
serving a free lunch on Saturday, Dec. 9, from 11 a.m. til 2 p.m. The
lunch is absolutely free, but any donations given will go toward the
Christmas in Rosebud drive.
The Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota is an impoverished
Native American settlement that has been a passion for Jeff
Madewell for 19 years. The church is partnering with him to collect
donations of new or good used clothing (no used underwear), non-
perishable foods, toys, and household items (space heaters, etc.).
These items can be dropped off during the luncheon or at the Union
Township building.
Potsdam UMC will also be delivering a ham to the homes in
Potsdam on Sunday, Dec. 10, after noon.

On Thursday, Dec. 14, at 6:30 p..m., Hannah Pennington will be conducting a special holiday workshop
entitled "Secret Santa's Soaks and Scrubs."
Hannah has been using Essential Oils with her family and has a wealth of experience and knowledge in
the health benefits Essential Oils can offer. She will lead you in making two or four recipes using Essential
Oils to pamper yourself or a lucky gift recipient! Participants will have a choice of recipes and will be able
to wrap your creations for gift giving. The cost for two recipes will be $10, and all four recipes will be $15.
A Hot Cocoa Bar and refreshments will be served.

Ohio is home to beautiful and remarkable natural wonders that
can be discovered 365 days a year. Tom Hissong is an award winning
nature photographer who has made many exciting discoveries through
his camera lens on his way to learning all that he can about Ohios
natural heritage.
The exhibit is free with paid admission to the nature center. All
sales of the photographs and bird artwork throughout the exhibit will
support the nature centers mission of wildlife conservation.

Ginger loves the giver more than the gift. She has the uncanny way of putting in hours and
hours on a handmade gift for one of her friends or granddaughters. This is the reason everyone
loves Ginger.
Ginger knows that Christmas is not a date, but a state of the mind. This is why she can be in
the Christmas mood all the year around. Her love for others has caught on with her children
and yours truly. Im not as good at it, but I understand the magic.
Andy Rooney gave this advice many years ago: "One of the most glorious messes in the world
is the mess created in the living room on Christmas Day. Don't clean it up too quickly."
