BCS GRADUATION PROJECT

STUDENT AGREEMENT

I, __Kamryn Mann__, acknowledge all of the following statements. Please initial each line.

_x_ I must complete the Buncombe County Schools Graduation Project (BCSGP) and all of its
components in order to graduate.

_x_ I understand that if I need an extension I must apply for it no later than one week before the
presentation date.

_x_ I understand that extensions are not an excuse to not do work.

_x_ I understand that if I am granted an extension, I must present on the second presentation day without
exception.

_x_ I understand that I must attend school on the day of presentations or I will not be allowed to present.

_x_ I understand that if I do not get a 70 or higher on my presentation, I will be required to re-present.

_x_ I understand that if I must re-present, I will only get one opportunity to do so. A second low grade is
permanent.

_x_ I will collect accurate verifications on all the work necessitating signatures. I will not forge any
verification documents.

_x_ I understand that any ethical violation will result in a zero on the graded element and an appearance
before the EHSGP committee.

_x_ I may not change the project topic from the one approved by the EHSGP committee.

_x_ I must turn in a cost waiver if my project is expensive (more than $100.00) or a recognition of risk
form if my project could be dangerous.

_x_ I will document my research, do my best to avoid plagiarism, and submit my paper for plagiarism
detection as requested by my teacher.

_x_ I am responsible for keeping an accurate journal of my activities related to the BCSGP.

_x_ I am responsible for keeping photographic and other evidence of the completion of my Practical
Experience/Product.

_x_ I must invest a minimum of ten hours of supervised work on my Practical Experience/Product.

_x_ I am responsible for keeping in contact with my mentor and making sure that I am completing
everything to their expected standards.
_x_ I must participate in a mock presentation in front of my class in order to have the opportunity to
present on the official presentation night.
