II. Description:
Schools are directed to cascade the guidelines in implementing the RPMS discussed by the Schools Division Office
representatives, the EPSvr District Monitor and Public Schools District Supervisor. Organization of LAC sessions should
also be established for the actual Alternative Classroom Observation of teachers and master teachers for RPMS S.Y. 2020-
2021.
III. Rationale:
Relative to DM-PHROD-2021-0010 which stipulates that Schools Division Offices are directed to employ
arrangements, strategies and modalities in the accomplishment of essential RPMS activities through learning action cell
(LAC) sessions and modalities in the accomplishment of essential RPMS activities guided by the community quarantine
declarations in the area where the school is located and consistent with the alternative work arrangement (AWA)
issuances of the Department.
School-based orientations and capacity-building activities shall undertake urgent and necessary cascading of
topics, schedules of alternative classroom observation, Results-based Performance Management System (RPMS)
indicators and modes of verification (MOV) and Assessment guidelines for master teachers and teachers on Quarters 3
and 4 for School Year 2020-2021.
Objectives:
1. Capacitate teachers of RPMS-Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST) including tools (RPMS Tools,
Classroom Observation Tools and Self-Assessment Tools)
2. Develop grade level-based learning action cell sessions for scheduled teacher classroom observation
3. Enhance the implementation of classroom observation processes for teachers: pre-observation, observation, post-
observation.
4. Ensure increased learning outcomes and improved learning performance despite the pandemic situation
IV. Methodology:
1. For the alternative classroom observation cascading and learning action cell sessions, this activity is to be
conducted every Friday, from April 16 (Cascading), April 23 (Demonstration Teaching), to April 30, May 7, and May
14, 2021 (pre-observation, classroom observation and post-conference).
2. In the big-group session, PowerPoint Presentation on the guidelines of the alternative classroom observation will be
shown to the participants in the cascading, then a week after, a demo teaching will be presented from one of the
master teachers which will serve as model for the rest of the teaching staff. Break-out sessions will then follow for
three consecutive Fridays for the individual pre, actual and post observation activities.
3. Following IATF health protocols, seats are arranged one meter apart in the big group session. The participants are
to wear masks properly and will observe physical distancing all throughout the duration of the activity. This will hold
true for the break-out sessions later on for each grade level.
4. Snacks will be charged to School MOOE.
