Name of the Faculty: K.V.BALARAMAKRISHNA Course: ECE
Name of the Subject: ANALOG COMMUNICATION Class: III semester: I Subject code: A50408 Regulation: R15 A:Y- 2017-18
After completing this course the student will demonstrate the knowledge and ability to:
1. Express the basic concepts of analog modulation schemes.
2. Evaluate the analog modulated wave in time / frequency domain and also find the modulation index. 3. Design procedure of AM Transmission & Reception, analyse, measure, and evaluate the performance of a telecommunication system against given criteria and design of AM, FM receivers. 4. Understand basic knowledge of FM and various types of SSB Transmission & Reception. 5. Evaluate channel characteristics: noise and bandwidth and also calculate signal-to-noise ratio and quality factor of communication chain 6. Differentiate between TRF and Super heterodyne receivers and discussion about pulse modulation system. 7. Apply the principles of a random process in Noise concepts.
