FANSHAWE

January 5, 2018

To Hiring Manager:

I am writing this letter of recommendation in support of Ha Doan's application. Ha has been one
of the best students in my Writing Level I class Reason and Writing 1032-17 (Fall 2017) at
Fanshawe College. From the first few weeks of the term, I have been impressed with Ha's sense
of responsibility, inclusive way of thinking, and readiness to do go beyond our course
requirements to improve her writing and communication skills. Ha has beer attending classes
regularly and has made excellent progress throughout the term, consistently getting grades in the
A/B range for professional essays and other assignments. She is about to finish the course with a
final grade in the A range. This is particularly remarkable since Ha is pursuing her studies while
also being employed at Gentek. Ha did not ask for any special accommodations based on her
work schedule, and her attendance level has been outstanding. She participated in all our class
discussions and completed her assignments with increasingly better grades.

Ha is a student who understands the importance of hard work, as well as good writing and
communication skills, in today's business environment, as demonstrated by her focus and
participation in our class activities. Her contributions to class discussions have been thoughtful
and inclusive, and her essay responses showed excellent critical thinking skills. All of Ha's
written assignments have been thoughtful and well-argued, as she was particularly careful to give
consideration to all the sides and aspects of an argument before suggesting a solution. She is
particularly capable of acquiring feedback and improving her work with the addition of new
elements.

I believe that, as a fast learner with an excellent work ethic and sense of professionalism, Ha will
be able to accomplish anything she decides to pursue in the future. I would be happy to answer
any other questions you might have about Ha's performance in my class, as well as about her
intellectual abilities, communication skills, and hard-working and responsible attitude.

Sincerely,

Claudiu Spermezan, M.A.
