Additional Practice
(Not for submission)
You are advised to practice rest of problems from Chapter 1 as well on your own. In addition to
that try these problems also:
QA- The current through a 10-mH inductor is
i(t) = 0.1 cos(104) A
Find the voltage and stored energy as functions of time.
QB- After t0 = 0, the current in a 0.25 μF capacitor is given by
i(t) = 0.75 sin(108t) A
where the argument of the sin function is in radians. The initial charge on the capacitor is q(0)
= 0. Plot i(t), q(t) and v(t) to scale versus time.
Note: You are strongly advised to do these problems on your own. Make yourself aware
of the Plagiarism policy of LUMS. Acknowledge any help/assistance taken by mentioning
that in your assignment. If you help anybody else in doing his/her assignment mention
that on your assignment as well. Submit your assignment yourself and do not hand it
over to your friends for submission.
