Some Definitions:

I = Feed rate in kg/h or t/h

Material amount per unit time
Z = Totalized amount in kg or t
Q = Measured load
Load on load cells in kg

Measuring Principle:

Material is guided to measuring chute S free from

whirls.
Deflection force acts on load cell L/C whose output
voltage is proportional to flow rate.
INTECONT evaluates signal and computes flow rate
and totalized amount.

Almost any possible error in operation is reported by

event message. For interpretation, see Chapter 10.

Check INTECONT for proper operation by using a

simple test plug. This helps to see whether the fault is
with load cell, cabling or electrical equipment.

1. Switch plug as shown in drawing.

2. Withdraw load cell connector X7 and replace by test
plug.

At the indicated resistance values, the following

service values result:

1. wz apr. 1.1mV/V
2. Load cell apr. 50 % (C02 =2mV/V)
utilization aw apr. 35% (C02 =2.85mV/V)

If wz is in specified range, measuring amplifier

operates properly.

Note:
With different R1 and R2 resistance values, the
following raw measured value results:

Raw measured value ~ 500 * R2 / R1 [mV/V].

3 Dribble feed changeover point Alarm:

FM = SET - A - F is reached. Dribble Feed signal
changes its level. Batch stops (measuring wheel and prefeeder
A and F are the cut-off amounts defined by immediately cut off) and can be resumed after
parameters I 01 and I 02. removal of cause and acknowledgement of event
message.
4 Cut-off point
AM = SET - A is reached and batch is complete.
Prefeeder stops.

5 Material afterflow
Power OFF:
If parameters A and F are properly set, defined
setpoint is exactly reached.
Batch aborts, batching mode remains selected.
If note, see “Adaption”.
All counter readings and amounts batched are stored
for an unlimited period of time.
Next Start command starts new batch.

Adaption:

After every complete batch, INTECONT uses the

missing material amount to compute a correction
value (I02). Dribble feed changeover point is adapted
automatically.

Error = SETPOINT - amount batched

Cut-off point for next batch is computed from error and

an evaluation factor.

A(new) = A(old) + FAK * error

A(new) = Batch cut-off point I02

FAK = Adaption factor I03

Errors smaller than smallest display digit are not

corrected.

DI Complete Batch:

The Complete Batch contact acts like a Stop

command with additional abort of batch. Next Start
command starts new batch.

connected with shields.
Shields of data cables to host computer are
connected to ground on either side.

n Analog outputs
Long cables, particularly to frequency transducers,
can interact on analog outputs. We suggest to use
an isolating amplifier..

measuring cables, if run in parallel, is min. 0.30 m.
If this is not possible lay measuring cable in steel
conduit. The same holds if the measuring cable is
laid over free stretches or close to powerful
transmitters (e.g. broadcasting stations). 0405
