Perhaps the story is too explicitly obvious through dialogue, sometimes these could be more
effective if they showed us rather than telling us everything?

The difference in genre and style, "Casablanca" being an older, more classic movie, doesn't relate to
either "American Beauty" or "Dear John"

American Beauty - As much as you would love to do it It wouldn’t happen in real life Dear John - You
suspect that one of them wouldn’t keep to the ‘deal’ Casablanca - That you want Rick and the girl to
