What are your views on swearing and bad language within drama

films?
I like it in dramas because it shows they're letting lose.

1/16/2018 9:47 AM

its okay if it works with the character

1/16/2018 9:37 AM

Can be used in moderation. Too much swearing may decrease the professionalism of the film.

1/15/2018 4:12 PM

Over 18 for bad language (fuck) Over 15 for mild (crap)

1/14/2018 8:38 PM

Depicts real life

1/14/2018 8:36 PM

Sometimes it's needed for the desired effect

1/14/2018 4:35 PM

OK in context

1/14/2018 1:07 PM

Not bothered by it

1/14/2018 12:23 PM

Ok in over 18 films aslong as part of the drama.

1/14/2018 10:28 AM

I think there are normally other appropriate words that can be chosen instead of swearing and bad
language to still emphasise a point where needed in any script

1/14/2018 8:34 AM

OK within reason and when used in context. Don't like excessive use.

1/14/2018 7:58 AM

Fine

1/14/2018 7:51 AM

Fine as long as it is done in the right context

1/14/2018 5:02 AM

I think it's fine if it is relevant to the scene and overall story line

1/13/2018 10:35 PM
Ok , in correct context

1/13/2018 10:30 PM

Ok if not for the sake of it

1/13/2018 10:21 PM

Fine in context

1/13/2018 9:11 PM

In context and for the right age it is fine

1/13/2018 9:03 PM

It can be good for humour and good considering the circumstances of the event happening

1/13/2018 8:36 PM

Unecessary overkill of swearing/bad language can really sour a performance, it has to be emotionally
charged, comedic or suited to the character in mention.

1/13/2018 2:07 PM

Has to be in context and not excessive

1/12/2018 11:39 PM

A must

1/12/2018 10:00 PM

A little bit of bad language is fine, but in some films it can be too much

1/12/2018 9:03 PM

I’m ok with it

1/12/2018 9:00 PM

I don’t like it

1/12/2018 8:48 PM

when needed it's ok not constantly though

1/12/2018 6:52 PM

Definitely wrong, disrespectful and unecessary

1/12/2018 6:45 PM

As long as it is revelant to the dialogue it's fine

1/12/2018 6:42 PM

I don’t take offence if it’s relevent to the story, sometimes it can be over done and that puts me off.

1/12/2018 5:50 PM
They are bad

1/12/2018 5:41 PM

Don’t mind

1/12/2018 5:04 PM

Don’t like it

1/12/2018 5:00 PM

When used correctly, swearing can offer comedic relief, or help build tension in a scene. But being
overused can become quite annoying, unnecessary swearing can ruin a good scene.

1/12/2018 11:40 AM

It’s okay, it doesn’t bother me and I find it funny in most cases

1/12/2018 11:26 AM

OK if it adds to the reality and drama of the script but not if it’s gratuitous

1/11/2018 10:56 PM

It's fine as long as it's not overdone. Depends on how much it'll further the realism as well.

1/11/2018 8:34 PM

I have no issue with it

1/11/2018 3:46 PM

It's normal, very mundane.

1/11/2018 2:33 PM

I think it’s okay most drama films are 12 up and that’s what’s to be expected

1/11/2018 10:41 AM

I think it is good, depending on the reference.

1/11/2018 10:38 AM

No problem with it; just not letting younger viewers hear/see it

1/11/2018 10:37 AM

I think it can usually be avoided with a good script and is usually not needed.
