Ecotourism

Thanks to the location of the department of Valle del Cauca on the Pacific
coast, whale-watching is possible in Bahía Málaga, only 24 miles
northeast of Buenaventura, Colombia’s main sea port. Bird watching is
also possible in dry forests, cloud forests, páramos, lagoons, and
the coastal areas, where 818 bird species live; that is 44.7% of the
Colombian total.

Some important sites are the following: Yotoco Forest Reserve,

Laguna de Sonso Natural Reserve, San Cipriano Forest Reserve,
Escalerete River Forest Reserve in Buenaventura, Nirvana Natural
Reserve in Palmira, Juan María Céspedes Botanical Garden in Tuluá,
Pance River eco-park in Cali, and Bahía Málaga marshes in
Buenaventura.

General Information about Greece

Greece is one of the world’s most popular destinations with ancient and modern
attractions such as museums of the ancient and Byzantine eras and archaeological sites and cities,
all of them historical monuments which have inspired modern education and culture around the
world.
Greece's capital city, Athens, (population: 3,074,160) is also its largest, and is served by
Piraeus, which is the country's main port. Although more than half the population is classified as
urban, rural life retains a powerful influence. A strong sense of community and family ties
prevail even in the busiest of metropolitan centres.

Restaurants

Restaurants Taverns are normally open for lunch from 12:30 to 16:00, for
and
dinner from 19:00 to midnight. Fast food and souvlaki shops usually serve food all day
long, and some of them stay open till late at night. Cafes and bars are open all day from
about 8:00 until late at night.

nd in their new homeland – ever expanding what is called “American Food”.

Peanut Butter is one of Americans’ favorite food and you can find it in nearly all A
merican homes. You spreadpeanut butter on bread. It’s very fattening: there are m
ore than 200 calories in two tablespoons of peanut butter. Americans eat it when th
ey want to have a snack. A traditional snack for kids is a sandwich with peanut butt
erand jelly (a sort of jam).

Pretzels and Bagels are also very popular, especially in New York. They are mad
e of bread, and bagels canreplace bread in sandwiches. Pretzels have the shape o
f a heart. They are salted and generally as big as a hand. A bagel has the shape of
a ring. Bagel sandwiches are quite common, they can be filled with cream cheese,
eggs, cheese, ham, tomato, or onion.

Donuts or Doughnuts are the equivalent of French ‘beignets’. You can have a do
nut with a coffee. There are allsorts of donuts: with strawberry, chocolate, vanilla cr
eam, cinnamon… One donut has about 200 calories!!!

gran número de inmigrantes trajeron nuevas tradiciones culinarias y las adaptaron a los ingredientes, las cocinas y las
costumbres que encontraron en su nueva patria, expandiendo lo que se llama "comida estadounidense".

-Peanut Butter es uno de los alimentos favoritos de los estadounidenses y puedes encontrarlo en casi todos los hogares
estadounidenses. Ustedes extienden la mantequilla sobre el pan. Es muy engorde: hay más de 200 calorías en dos
cucharadas de mantequilla de maní. Los estadounidenses lo comen cuando quieren tomar un refrigerio. Un bocadillo
tradicional para los niños es un sándwich con mantequilla de maní y jalea (una especie de mermelada).

-Pretzels y Bagels también son muy populares, especialmente en Nueva York. Están hechos de pan y los bagels pueden
reemplazar el pan en sándwiches. Los pretzels tienen la forma de un corazón. Son salados y generalmente tan grandes
como una mano. Un bagel tiene la forma de un anillo. Los sándwiches Bagel son bastante comunes, pueden llenarse con
queso crema, huevos, queso, jamón, tomate o cebolla.
