COMMUNICATION By working at a camp and starting at the bottom you really have to learn
to communicate. I learned to communicate with my boss, in case I
noticed something going on with a child or if I needed a day off. I also had
to learn to work well with my co-counselor and learn to make decisions
together.

LEADERSHIP By being a counselor you need to learn to take charge, you can’t let the
kids walk all over you. You have to learn to take charge, their safety
depends on it.
