• Plastic hangers
• Bucket
• Yarn
• Blue Tape

Objective: Create a device to retrieve an item that is placed beyond their reach

Time:

• 20-30 minutes

Activity:

1. Put participants into teams.

2. Provide them with supplies (you can decide which supplies they get OR you can let
them choose their supplies)
3. Let the participants work on creating their bucket pulley machine
4. After participants have created their machine, let each one test their machine’s ability
to retrieve the item.
