INQUIRY: How can we improve 9 grade students’ success in math?
GOAL: After the 2011 TAKS administration, 9th grade math TAKS scores will increase by
10 percentage points. Also, by May of 2011, the overall 9 th grade math failure rate will
decrease by 15%.
ESTABLISHED EXPECTATIONS: All necessary software will be accessible; meeting time will
be each Wednesday morning (7:00 – 8:00 A.M.); staff is familiar with professional
learning communities, effective meeting practices, and collaborative processes; we have
full administrative support.
