 RF Survey (This survey decides the place for new cell site, height, tilt & Orientation of
GSM antenna).
 Locating the Nominal using GPS, Noting present Signal Strength using Net Monitor.
 Taking Snap shots of surrounding area of selected options, Using Map Info checking the
surrounding sites, Collecting Grids as much as possible, inserting them in Map Grid,
getting the distance & Angle.
 Accordingly deciding the Orientation of GSM Antenna, Preparing RND Survey Report,
Have done RF Survey for both Capacity Offload and Coverage Sites.
 LOS Survey [ This survey consists of deciding the Height of the Microwave Link antenna
by considering the maximum obstructions between two sites.
 Getting approx terrain idea between sites using Global Mapper, Noting max AMSL,
distance & Obstruction ht. values between sites and inserting it in RL Tool to get the
correct view of Fresnel Zone.
 Obstacles in the transmission path can be viewed by Map Source Tool, Have done for
Back Bone & Typical Hilly Terrain, Preparing LOS Survey Report ]
