 LUTHERAN WORLD RELIEF
PERSONAL CARE KITS
Personal Care Kits are the LWR project for
February through April. Each kit should
include:
* One light-weight bath-size towel, dark
color recommended.
* Two or three bath-size bars of soap in
original packaging.
* One adult-size toothbrush in original
packaging.
* One sturdy comb with packaging
removed.
* One metal nail clippers with packaging
removed.
Instructions and the list of materials to
include in each kit can be found in the west
hallway – look for the washtub. Thank you
for supporting Lutheran World Relief!
LEGACY FUND MARCH HIGHLIGHTS
Legacy Fund Bylaws which were adopted on
January 28, 2018, were discussed. A trifold
is being made up exploring the different
basics between the Legacy Fund and the
Benefaction Fund. Discussed having
presentations during service on April 14 and
before Fellowship Hour on April 15; also the
weekend of May 20.
BUSY BAGS
Thank you to the second period Soar Class
from Norfolk Junior High School for making
and donating "Busy Bags" for the children at
St. John's Lutheran Church. Busy Bags --
cloth bags full of coloring books, crayons,
puzzles, etc. – are for children to use during a
worship service. Bags will be available next
week – look for the bag display!
Please join the
NORFOLK CHAMBER SINGERS
on Palm Sunday for "Fairest Lord Jesus",
music selections reflecting on the events of
Holy Week. The 7:00 p.m. performance will be
held Palm Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Grace
Lutheran Church (5th and Park Avenue) in
Norfolk. There is no admission charge, but a
free-will offering will be taken.
UPDATE ON KEAGAN SULLIVAN
Katlinn Sullivan writes:
Keagan has been doing a great job recovering
from having his tonsils and adenoids out! He
had a few days of pain, but other than that he
has been a trooper the past week! Grandma
Marilyn left to go home last Friday and Aunt
Connie got here on Tuesday to visit for a few
days. Sad to see Grandma go, but happy that
she was able to come spend time with us.
Keagan was put back on the active list
on March 19th. Thanks for all the thoughts,
prayers, cards, meals, gift cards, donations and
packages! We appreciate all of the kindness we
have been shown.
NOTE: There are envelopes with the Sullivan
family address on the table in the back of the
church should you want to send a card or note.
