RSMC, LLC PRODUCTION SCHEDULING ORIENTATION

INPUT:
1. Work order received from Sale Assistant. Work order package include:
a. Job sheet. The job sheet must include these information as input for planning:
 Job #
 Job Description
 DWG #
 PART #
 PO #
 QTY
 DATE JOB RECEIVED
 DUE DATE
 HT # (IF APPLICABLE)
 MATERIAL TYPE
b. DWG (HARD COPY)

PROCESS
2. Create router for work order. The router information will include:
a. How many operations for work order?
b. Outside service need (if applicable)
The router serves as record to keep track how part move/make in the shop floor. The router
must have operator signature after every single operation. When job finished, router will be
collected by planner and return to office for Job record
3. Planning verification to make sure work order can meet due date. These are list of criteria to
check:
a. when raw material coming, if RSMC buy material
b. How many date left for machine from date we received material?
c. Man power available
d. Machine available
e. Base on part number from job sheet. Planner will check program availability:
i. Old part: verify DWG matching with job sheet.
1. If new revision used, notify programmer create program
2. If same revision as in database, use old program
ii. New part; notify programmer to prepare program before assign job to floor
4. After verification all resource we have:
a. If we can meet the due date, start planning
b. If we can’t meet due date. There is serval option planner will choose depend on the
situation:
i. Contact customer to extend the due date
ii. Need to extend operation hours (overtime)
iii. Run 2 or more machine same time

iv. Use trust outsource


5. Create Control label use for control chart (the control chart use in RSMC help planner keep
track with all job assign on the floor). The label for control chart must include:
i. JOB #
ii. PO#
iii. CUSTOMER
iv. QTY
v. DUE DATE
6. Create Job Packet for Shop Floor. The job package must include:
a. Label:
i. JOB #
ii. PO#
iii. DWG#
iv. PART #
v. CUSTOMER
vi. QTY
vii. DUE DATE
b. Documentation:
i. Router
ii. Job Sheet
iii. DWG
7. Job assigned to operator when all steps above have done
8. Planner will keep track will all job on shop floor by moving Control label create in step 5. By
doing these step, planner will make sure:
a. Job can ship to customer on time
b. Need extend operation hours (overtime) if we behind the schedule
c. If part send out for outside service, planner will notify
i. Office to create PO for outside service
ii. QC check part:
1. Before send out for service: take pictures to make sure have proof part
didn’t damage before send out
2. After received from outside service: perform final inspection and record to
Inspection sheet
i. If part can’t past final inspection. QA must give Planner the
date problem will fix. Planner will contact customer if the
problem can’t fix before due date
ii. If part pass Final Inspection, Planner will work with deburr
& shipping department to ship part out to customer.

OUTPUT
9. Planner will get shipping Log (what item RSMC will ship ) before 10 AM, and work with
Shipping clerk to schedule the shipment.
