1. Purpose:
To describe the standard maintenance and servicing procedure of Drop tank.

2. Scope:
Drop tank must be fill to the indicated level and connect to the filling machine.

3. Reference:
ISO 9001: 2008. 4.2, 7.5
Drop tank Manual

4. Responsibility:
Utilities Engineer / Supervisor will coordinate/execute operations according to
the procedure outlined.
Utilities Engineer will be responsible for System compliance and data review.

5. Procedure:
Preventive actions
The risk of accidents, parts damage and other hazards are controlled by adopting &
implementing preventive actions.
Following actions are taken.
i. Ensure that remaining air is completely released/ exhausted from tank before
operation.
ii. Ensure that body is prevented to leakage and should be air tight.
iii. Ensure that safety valve should properly activated.
iv. Check motor operating parameter (i.e. voltage, ampere, horse power, RPM
and temperature etc.) or any abnormal noise.
v. Electrical contacts should properly be connected and cleaned with contact
cleaner.
vi. All warning devices must be working properly.

Preventive Maintenance
Following activities should be performed to maintain its life and improve efficiency.

1. Parts Replacements
Check for any damage or wear out parts and replaced if required with standard
grading and specification.
