I believe that collaboration is key in creating a positive school culture. Staff members
should feel that they are part of the decision making process as often as possible. They carry
many years of experience and knowledge and deserve a high level of respect. I will work to
form teacher committees and leadership opportunities. I believe this will create a level of trust
and ownership that will ultimately lead to creative thinking, risk-taking, and innovation.
Collaboration should also occur with parents and the community. I believe valuable
partnerships can be formed within the community and should be actively sought out. I will
promote active involvement from parents and the community alike. Parents should feel welcome
in the school and opportunities should be provided for them to be a part of their child’s
educational experience.

their best practices, needs, and wants. I feel very strongly that in order to learn you must be a

members. I know that I can learn a great deal from them all.
