Minutes of Wycombe Wenches Monthly

Meeting
March 2018

1. The following guests were warmly


welcomed: Margaret King and Patsy Cameron
.
2. Liz Sheppard introduced the speaker, Mike
Dewey , who gave a very informative and
entertaining talk about “ Wycombe’s Lost
Photographs”.
3. Following this talk members attention was
drawn to the various sign up sheets at the
back of the hall for the many forthcoming
activities as listed in March’s edition of the
WW Newsletter. Members were reminded to
sign in and to hand in any donations of
childrens books for this month’s collection
for Wycombe Womens Refuge and to collect
their paper copies
of the BFWI Newsletter

4 . While refreshments were being served


there was a raffle with three donated prizes-two
plants and an Easter egg . These were won
by Liz Hammond, Patsy Cameron and one other.

5 . Judith Forster was then invited to say a few


words about
forthcoming activities being organised by
Wycombe Wenches: theatre trip to see An
Officer and a Gentleman on May10th, trip to
The Wallace Collection on March 21st and
Supper Club trip to Suum Vietnamese Kitchen
on April 17th . The book group , book for April
is Rivers of London by Ben Aaronovitch

6. The meeting was drawn to a close by


Heather Allen who
thanked everyone for attending and reminded
members to have a look at the new WW
Facebook page.
