For this project our group decided to

find information on how sleep ultimately affects

students academic performance. We were interested in

this topic because we wanted to see

how sleep can actually negatively or positively

affect academic performance at Arizona State University!

individuals that took
this survey sleep 6.5
hours a night. Which is
not the ideal 8 hours of
recommended sleep.
● The maximum hours of
sleep per night was 10
hours.
● The minimum hours of
sleep per night was
only 1 hour.
4. How many hours per week do you spend on homework/studying on average?
● Individuals that spend
more than 15 hours per

The overall correlations that we found within

our data proves that sleep is necessary for

proficient academic performance. We found that students

that get the most amount of sleep

per night have the highest GPAs.
