3 Circuits lab name:

Objective: To study current and the role(s) of conductors, switches, and resistors through building
circuits. To be completed in groups of two or less (every student hands in their own write up!).

Snap circuit kits have project books that will guide you in the building of circuits. Build the projects
below to answer the questions that follow.

Simple circuits: Project #1
1. A) Using the correct symbols, draw the circuit if the switch was on.
B) Using arrows, draw the direction of current.

2. Draw the circuit if the switch was off.

Resistors: Project #7
3. Draw the circuit if the switch was on. Draw the circuit if the switch was off.

4. What would you expect if you increase the resistance?

5. Switch out R1 resistor with R2, then R3. What are your observations? How about if there were no resistors?

Conductors: Project #9
6. Draw the circuit using the correct symbols.

7. Test with other materials. What materials were able to conduct electricity in the circuit?

Conclusion: Summarize in a least 3 detailed sentences the learning discovery from today’s lab. What did
you do? What learning did you apply? Use the terminology from class.
