Saint Patrick’s Day is on March 17. He is Ireland’s Christian


saint.

Ireland is a country. It is part of an island called Ireland.

Saint Patrick lived about 1,700 years ago. There are many
stories about him.

He told all snakes to leave Ireland. Today, there are no snakes


in Ireland.

Saint Patrick told people in Ireland about Christianity.

In the 1800s, many people left Ireland. They went to other


countries. These are: the U.S., Canada, Australia, and New
Zealand.
Now, 80 million people
have Irish ancestors.
Many celebrate Saint
Patrick’s Day.
