Overview of the lesson:

The lesson started with a few students coming up to the board and solving an addition up to
15 equations. Later on, they played a game in which the students had numbers and were
being counted. Each student stood up according to their number, which allowed a full class
participation. The activities were very creative and engaging, however the concept of skip
counting is very new to the students so it was harder for them to process, but with her
monitoring the students seemed to do better.

Areas for development:

- Needs to work on time management, there wasn’t enough time for the lesson.
- Group work, the skip counting activity would have worked better if the students
worked together, building their communication skills and teamwork, but overall a
wonderful activity that pushed the students further.

Focus for next lesson:

- To work on your time management skills.
