Task 3 – Planning for Learning

This task is linked to ECE3503: instructional strategies and planning for assessment. It asks you to take on
an active role in planning and preparing for active learning environments. This task requires you to meet
with your MST, and through his/her guidance, plan a weekly plan using the school template. Evidence of
implementation of this plan is also required (added to blog with a reflection). You need 4 weekly plans for
WIKS.

Plan a weekly plan with your MST
Choose 1 subject and diagram the planning cycle that takes place in your school setting.

Subject- counting by tens


Recourses: Worksheets – smart board (video)- cubes – 2 large white paper with number 10 to 50
written- pictures .

Introduction: Show the students a video about counting by tens – do a review by ask them about
the last lesson which is counting to 20. So I will ask them how can we make 20 –I will use the
cubes to prepare shows for the students that 10 cubes 5 times are make 50 – count from 10 to 50
by bring 5 students one by one to the board.

Independent Experience (high level): give the students a worksheet for high level which is fill the
gaps from 1 to 50 .

Independent Experience (medium level ): give them a worksheet which is they will cut and order
the picture based on the number order from 10 to 50 by tens.

Independent Experience (small group activity 3): They will get a picture of corn and cups ice
cream that include the number by tens from 10 to 50 so they will order it by making ice cream.

Assessment : I will assess the students during the activity by ask them.

(HOT QUESTION) who many hands we need to make 50. How many 10 fame we need to make
40. – in your paper you count until which number—can you count from 10 to 50 ?
Include photographic evidence of the implementation of the activities in your blog. Record
the learning outcome, and reflections.
