Bart Simpson is a famous TV character, it is the type of 1/1

student that has problems with school, misbehaviour,

hyperactivity. In which way Flipped classroom can help these
kinds of students? *

Students gain control of the learning process through studying course

material outside of class, using readings, pre-recorded video lectures
(using technology such as Panopto), or research assignments. During
class time, instructors facilitate the learning process by helping
students work through course material individually and in groups.

Flipped classroom can't deal with these problems

There are several bene ts of using the modality. Which one is 0/1

not considered a bene t? *

Students get more 1:1 time with their teacher

It builds stronger student/teacher relationships

It allows teachers to share information with other faculty, substitute

teachers, students, parents, and the community easily (assuming
they’re posting video lectures online)

It creates a collaborative learning environment in the classroom, since less

time is spent engaging deeply with the concepts being learned, rather than
sitting listening to the teacher

Resposta correta

It creates a collaborative learning environment in the classroom, since

less time is spent engaging deeply with the concepts being learned,
rather than sitting listening to the teacher

Student engagement with concepts taught in schools 1/1

generally is poor, while 30% of internet users have used online

educational videos, such as those provided by the Khan
Academy, for example – and these two facts suggest that the
ipped classroom is a way of improving education. Some of
the bene ts of the ipped model are: *

Students get instant feedback on practice activities

If they get stuck with their ‘homework’ they have a teacher (and other
students) on hand to get them through the brick wall

Students can build a list of questions as they watch the online video and
bring them in to class for the teacher to go through with them

These options complement each other and build an answer

Not everything is the paradise! For sure this modality has 1/1

some disadvantages. Which one can be shaped as one? *

Not all the students can have internet access all the time

And if that content is primarily video-based, then they’ll need reasonable

bandwidth.

There are blended learning options available from publishers which could
be used in a ipped class course, but none of them were really designed
speci cally for it

The 3 options above complement each other as the correct answer

Does ELT need ipping? It’s clear to see that a key purpose of 1/1

the ipped approach is to move students away from an active

learning experience towards passive learning, with all the
associated collaboration and peer learning that goes with it,
coupled with a similar move away from a teacher-centred
approach towards a more facilitative role. *

FALSE

The ipped classroom has quickly become the most buzzed- 1/1
about topic in education. An inversion of the traditional
classroom experience, a ipped class begins before the
session actually starts. The teacher provides the day’s lecture
ahead of time, usually as one or a handful of short 5-20 minute
videos, along with any supporting reading or video materials.
Students are expected to review everything as their previous
day’s “homework”, and come to class ready for deeper
discussions on the subject and more interactive learning
activities. *

Flipping the teacher pushes students not merely to learn a few 0/1
facts about a subject, but to actually comprehend the lesson
well enough to synthesize its details into a cohesive, coherent
presentation. The bene ts are obvious — but they return us to
the problem above, namely, how can you, as a teacher, nd
time to balance those student presentations with your own
lecture plans? *

By tapping the same technology used to ip the classroom

Using video to record student presentations offers the best of both worlds
