Transducer Setting for HE-7300V・HE-7301V・HE-1500V・HE-1501V Series
Thank you for purchasing HONDEX products. This document explains the transducer
setting for New VF Models : HE-7300V, 7301V, 1500V, and 1501V.
Please read this document carefully to set the transducer properly.
1-1. When you turn on the Power initially, the following window appears.
1-2. Select transducer from the list, then press MENU key.
2. Set-up Transducer
It is necessary to select “OTHER TD” when using any transducer other than transducer list
or 2 different transducers.
3-1. Indicate the transducer list. The value shown is the current set-up frequency.
[Case of HE-1501V&HE-7301]
Go to Menu – “9 SOUNDER” – “8 OTHERS” – “6 SPECIAL SETUP” – “5
TRANSDUCER SET”
[Case of HE1500V&HE7300V]
Go to “MENU3” – “8 INITIALIZE” – “2 TRANSDUCER SET”.
3-2. Select “OTHER TD” to show the display for detailed set-up of transducer.
3-3. Set-up each item on the display. Please refer to the followings for more explanation on
the detailed set-up.
4. Detailed Set-up
Type of Transducer
Select the type of transducer.
Single : Single frequency transducer
Dual(3P): Dual frequencies by 1 transducer
Dual(5P): Dual frequencies with 5P plug or 2 transducers.
[Caution]
- Additional junction cable, BK01, is required when connecting 2 transducers.
- The transducer connector needs to e 5P plug when connecting 2 transducers.
Refer to the following information about each detailed transducer set-up and pin assignment
for each connector.
FREQ. RX
Set the received frequency.
Selectable from -10.0kHz~+10.0kHz in 0.1kHz steps.
Display the difference from TX frequency.
Initial set-up value : 0.0kHz
e.g.) When setting the received frequency to 51kHz with the transmitted frequency of
50.5kHz, set “+0.5kHz” for the received frequency.
NOMINAL FREQ.
Set the frequency to be shown on the display.
This value is indicated on the display. Selectable from 20~300kHz in 1kHz steps.
BADN WIDTH
NAR Band width on receiver is Narrow
MID Band width on receiver is Medium
WID Band width on receiver is Wide
Narrow band width reduces the noise by receiving the limited frequency, but the display
becomes vague.
On the other hand, wide band width tends to receive more noise, but the clear display can
be obtained.
Select the proper set-up.
Initial set-up : NAR (Narrow)
TRANS TAP
Optimize the matching of transmitter and transducer’s impedance.
Select “A” when no selection is shown in “Transducer List” on the previous menu.
When using 2 transducers, it is necessary to set manually. Refer to the attached “Setting List
for Standard Transducer” and select the level for each.
Initial set-up : A (Minimum Level)
Higher level set-up (B, C, D) may cause damage on transducer and main unit.
