Initially it will enchant you with its small flowers that decorate this handsome shrub,
sometimes white, purple or light green. Then, your olfactory senses will capture re-
fined lemon essences to cool the space, while, when you boil the green leaves, your
palate will savor a pleasantly sour flavor that will offer you well-being.
The herb Luisa, with the Latin name "Lippia citriodora ' belongs to the family Verben-
aceae (which includes about 250 species) and originates in America. Except the scien-
tific name of “ Lippia kitriosmos” - and Lemongrass, due to the lemon scent of blos-
soms and leaves, in Crete it is also called “Gorgogianni”.
The beautiful Luisa is a medicinal flower that cares for our good health in many ways,
as tea or oil, as both flowers and leaves are especially beneficial for the human body.
