 Strong academic background in the proposed field of study

 Research experience in the proposed field of study

 VERY HELPFUL, but not absolutely required

 Research publication are VERY persuasive

 Work experience in the proposed field of study(Helpful but not required)


 Be certain that your personal interests/ career goals are closely aligned with the

research interests of the US professor
