b) Ability of Kaarina Koshkinen to solve teams problem and the problems she may face

Kaarina Koshkinen is one of Finland's most well known organisation development and human
resource management consultant. Being a HR professional, she can very well delve into employees'
psyche and understand their behaviors and the conflicts going on in the team and the groupism
emerging from those conflicts. Through her intellectual and interpersonal skills, she can very well
kill the root cause of the team problem.
Though the biggest problem she may face initially would be that, her team members would have a
hard time accepting her as a boss just like it happened with Olavi's collegue Anniki. They would not
listen to her orders attentively and would do things their own way just like it happened with Aniki.

c) If you had an opportunity to speak to Olavi about Tapio’s problem, what advice will
you give him?
• First and foremost, he should hire an Indian (bangalore based) HR and organisation development
consultant who is bilingual-having both knowlege of finnish and Indian , and having knowledge of
how things work in Indian silicon valley's companies. In my opinion, an Indian consultant can assist
him better than a finnish one.
• There should be regular tracking of project based on deadlines/milestones/etc. failing that should
be held accountable to him by the employees
• Bonuses should be offered for completing work ahead of time.
• Personal and Professional life can be made separate by organising a get together session after
completing each milestone of project.
